Paul McCabe

Paul is a great teacher. I finished my leaving cert a few years ago. I chose music as an extra subject but unfortunately, my school doesn't have any teachers that could teach me. Then, I met Paul. He thought me about all the things I need to know in order to do well in the exam. Music Theory, Basic Piano Skills, Listening Skills and the ability to answer exam questions using musical terms.

Paul Mccabe is an excellent music teacher whose lessons really helped me achieve a great grade in leaving cert.

Paul was an amazing help to me during my leaving cert music he is incredibly knowledgeable and kind a really good teacher I hadn’t done junior cert level music so I was afraid I would be really behind but he caught me up in no time and I ended up getting a H1 in the leaving cert would definitely recommend him to anyone!

I highly recommend Paul to any individual studying music. He is very attentive, always there on hand if you have any questions. The online classes were extremely valuable allowing me to achieve a H2 in the leaving cert. He covers everything from melody writing to the traditional music section at an extremely high level to ensure top results.

Paul was honestly such a great teacher. He was always really patient and encouraging, and made lessons feel relaxed instead of intimidating. He explained things in a way that actually made sense and was really good at adapting to whatever level I was at or what I was struggling with. I genuinely looked forward to lessons and gained so much confidence with music because of them. He’s not only really talented, but also just a genuinely sound and supportive person. Couldn’t recommend him enough.

I did Leaving Cert Music outside of school with Paul, and he was absolutely brilliant. He knew the course inside out and had extensive knowledge of marking schemes and exam techniques, which made a huge difference throughout the year. He was also incredibly helpful in preparing my practical, even though all lessons were over Zoom. His support, organisation, and teaching style gave me so much confidence going into the exam!! I ended up getting a H1 in Music, and I genuinely wouldn’t have achieved it without all his help. I would highly recommend him to anyone studying Music!!

I started with Paul in 6th year and my grades and enjoyment with music both increased hugely. Paul had a clear, layed out plan in place for me throughout the year so I knew what was ahead and I could see my progress. I was a H6/H5 student throughout 5th year and Paul got me to a H2. The results speak for themselves. During my leaving cert study I would look forward to my grinds. Only for Pauls experience and guidance I never would have been able to achieve the result I did. I couldn’t recommend him enough and a gent to be tutored by.
