Katie

I studied Spanish with Katie during 5th year and the results speak for themselves. I went from barely passing at Christmas to getting an H2 in my summer exam! Katie made such a difference to my progress and I genuinely could not have done it without her. She's also such a lovely person! I'm already looking forward to continuing lessons with her next year. Gracias!

LC French : Everything was great. Katie helped with whatever I needed or requested to cover. It was a huge help to practice for French orals and to learn new vocabulary every week. I received a lot of super helpful notes without even having to ask, and I gained a much deeper understanding of the language than I was getting at school. My results were definitely better than they would have been without Katie as my tutor!

Katie was incredibly helpful with my French studies. I can honestly say I progressed thoroughly in my development and understanding of the language.

I found my online lessons with Katie to be great. There was nothing that could have been better. She was a very effective teacher; I left every class having learnt something new. She was accommodating for any missed classes and gave me the opportunity to do double lessons so that I didn't fall behind. Overall, Katie truly went above and beyond as a teacher. Thank you so much for having me!

LC Spanish : Katie was so lovely and helpful. Nothing in my opinion could have been better - all was brilliant!

5th Year French Grinds : Katie is always happy to focus on particular topics that need extra attention, and she sends lots of helpful notes and feedback on my schoolwork. There’s nothing I feel she could do better. I give her a 10 out of 10 and would definitely recommend her as a tutor.

Katie was a fantastic tutor for my son in his JC French studies. She is very knowledgeable, always prepared for the lesson and very organised. They covered all topics in great detail first and then worked through exam questions where Daniel had more difficulties in. I would highly recommend working with her!

I’ve just finished taking oral Spanish grinds with Katie for the Leaving Cert, and I’m so glad I did. She made every session feel comfortable and enjoyable, which helped me build so much more confidence in speaking Spanish. We worked through all the topics and roleplays, and I feel really prepared for the exam now. Highly recommend!

Katie is an incredible French teacher—professional, dedicated, and truly passionate about teaching. From the very first lesson, she believed in me and encouraged me every step of the way. Her support and motivation completely changed my attitude toward French. I went from feeling confused and hating the subject to actually enjoying it so much that I decided to continue studying it at university and even go to France for a language exchange! Thanks to her help, I ended up achieving a H1 in my Leaving Cert. Katie’s lessons were always well-structured and personalised to my needs. She spoke a lot of French during our sessions, which really helped me get used to hearing the language naturally. This made such a difference in my confidence and ability to understand spoken French. She also provided individual notes after each class, highlighting what we had covered, as well as any vocabulary and grammar points I needed to work on. On top of being an excellent tutor, Katie is also a really lovely person. I’m so grateful for all of her help and can’t recommend her enough!

Katie is a great tutor - organised, thorough, patient and friendly. She helped my son to make dramatic improvements in his French and also to learn to love the language.

Katie was a fantastic Spanish tutor. She helped my daughter Aisling with her Spanish for the Leaving Cert and accommodated her hectic schedule. In the space of a short time, Katie was able to raise my daughter's average from a H5 to a H2 in the final exam. All her lessons were well prepared, focusing on Aisling’s areas of weakness and she gave excellent tips on exam taking. Aisling always looked forward to lessons with Katie.

So pleased to have had Katie’s expertise and teaching to support our son with his LC Spanish exam. She is a true professional, very thorough and very dedicated. The hard work paid off! Many thanks Katie for everything.

LC French (OL): Katie has been very helpful over the past two years. She has always been supportive and made sure that I’m doing my best at learning. Katie has taught me French exceptionally well, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

LC French - After my mock exams last year, Katie was very helpful and really improved my confidence and exam technique, especially for writing opinion pieces. I improved a lot and would recommend her for French at any level. Thank you Katie! :)

Katie is a brilliant French tutor. I noticed a big improvement in my son’s understanding after a few lessons. She is very friendly, patient and organised. The revision notes that Katie sent each week have been really helpful for him. Her communication with me regarding the lessons was always excellent and so kind. Merci beaucoup, Katie! We highly recommend her.

Katie is very kind and patient with students who may not be as confident in their French as others. She also sends you notes on which you didn’t know in the lesson back to you to revise after the lesson which I personally think is very helpful.

LC French : Katie has been superb - really improved my son’s French speaking, listening, reading and writing in just a few sessions. All lessons were prepared, structured and achieved lots.

JC French Grinds - Louise did not want to do grinds but after the 1st lesson she was very happy. She felt comfortable with Katie and learned alot. Thank you for all your help. Recommend 10/10.

My son (JC Spanish) and I were so glad to have found Katie. I thoroughly recommend her if you are looking for a tutor. From the get go she was quick to identify the areas that Mark needed help with. Katie gives clear and constructive feedback, giving specific things to revise and work on for the next session. Her communication is excellent. My son progressed and became much more confident, particularly in his writing skills (which is what he had been struggling with the most). Wish we had found Katie sooner.

Parent of 5th Year French Student: Thank you for all of your work with him. It has changed his whole attitude from a subject he wanted to drop in school to a language he’s enjoying and one of his more confident subjects. That’s a huge change. He has felt so comfortable with you and I am so grateful that you’ve removed that fear of the language he had at the start of the year. Merci beaucoup!

JC Spanish - Katie was absolutely brilliant. Really helpful and organised.

Last year I had one 2.5 hour session with Katie focused on opinion piece writing and main current affairs topics for the LC french written exam. The lesson was extremely enjoyable and everything was explained to me very clearly.

6th year French oral grinds. My daughter Alva found Katie’s tuition very focused, relevant and helpful. Katie helped Alva prepare her document for the French oral, which Alva had not covered in school. Katie's classes were engaging and enjoyable and Katie was always professional and warm in her interactions with both myself and Alva. I highly recommend Katie for French grinds, you won't regret it!
