GrindsWorld Tutor: Padraig McCarthy

My name is Padraig McCarthy and I'm 21 years old. I'm originally from Westmeath but I am currently living in Castletroy, Co. Limerick.

I am currently offering grinds in French or Spanish to Junior Cert & Leaving Cert students.

I am a 4th Year Applied Languages student in University of Limerick, studying French & Spanish at university level. I also studied French for the Leaving Certificate.

My past experience giving grinds includes a Leaving Cert student who achieved a H2 in Spanish.

I also have experience teaching French & Spanish in enjoyable and interactive environments with both Junior & Leaving Cert students, working as a Camp Leader (Animateur) at Euro Languages College throughout summer 2021 & 2022.

I have worked in Ceuta, Spain for 6 months as a language teacher from January to June 2021. I have studied in Montpellier, France for a semester from August to December 2021, studying through French and earning my C1 (Advanced) CEFR language certificate in French.

As a university student who has experienced the Leaving Certificate in 2019, I offer a first-hand insight into the challenges of sitting the exams.
I have also studied Spanish at a very high level in France alongside native speakers and can offer many useful study resources that I acquired in my own learning.

I would be willing to offer online (via Zoom) - an email account will be required to carry this out.
I am a full-time university student, therefore my hours would be flexible and evening-based. My availability would be up to 2hrs/week, depending on your own personal preference.

I will offer a trial free of charge to grasp the student's language level and for you to decide if you're satisfied with my teaching style, and from there we can discuss dates & prices.
