41 years experience.Have taught all levels up to college level .Individual or group grinds.Online tuition through zoom so area not a problem. Have taught both Irish and Maths at Primary and second level,prepared students for Junior and Leaving Cert at all levels,have run Irish Summer Camps,Have prepared for Irish orals,Hibernia interview,OCG,TEG and in Maths to Primary,second Level ,Junior Cert and Leaving Cert,Foundation,Ordinary and Higher Levels, UCC and CIT students.Have also prepared students for GRE,GAMSAT and QQ4 Maths exams as well as CIT entry exam in August Have worked in area of Special Needs for 8 years

Approach to Grinds:
Very individualised.An initial assessment followed by an IEP.Homework is given based on each lesson and marked and any difficulties addressed in next lesson to enhance learning and tailor lesson to student's needs Same procedure online.Lesson proceeds at each learner's own pacel

    Niall Sheehan Ger took my son for grinds in maths & Irish and was a joy to deal with . He really came on in both subjects through the year. Callum got on very well with Ger and she was so flexible when we had to change around the grind a few times - Can’t recommend her enough !

    Bernadette Highly recommend Ger as a tutor. She is so patient and encouraging! No question is too silly. My Irish is very rusty and making mistakes is never a big deal, they're corrected in a very kind manner. If only I had her as a teacher when I was in school 25 years ago!!!

    Anne Ger has been giving my daughter weekly grinds since 3rd year, and my daughter is now about to sit her leaving cert and feeling well equipped to confidently tackle all aspects of the LC maths paper with Ger’s help. My daughter found Ger to be professional, reliable and friendly, and Ger did not move on to the next topic until she was sure the my daughter grasped the topic being covered. Very importantly, my daughter was never afraid to ask a question, no matter how small. We would highly recommend Ger to give grinds to any student.

    Noinin Reynolds Wadd Ger has been a wonderful tutor to my son. While he is quite good at maths his dyslexia can hamper him in his ability to understand questions and how he learns. Robert needs to learn methodically with a set plan which frustrates his class teacher and she would prefer he does it her way but he has tried and it just doesn't work for him so Ger has become a lifeline for him. He needs a high grade in maths for his chosen courses and hopefully with Gers help he will be able to get it.

    Dewi Ger has been amazing. She tutored my daughter in higher level Maths 2nd year of secondary school for couple of months now, so my daughter increasing her confidence and improving her grades significantly. Ger has an excellent teaching style, my daughter finds her really engaging and looks forward to her lesson. She takes time after lessons to find and set targeted exercises and exam questions for practice, before the next lesson. She is friendly, patient and supportive. We would highly recommend her.

    Nadia Foutsou Ger is a fantastic teacher and we couldn't recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for Irish grinds at any level. She has been giving grinds to my son (2nd year) since January. From the moment you meet her you can tell that she is an experienced professional who has a passion for teaching. She is very patient, friendly and encouraging . She was able to identify from the first lesson what my son's weaknesses and difficulties were and tailor the lesson accordingly. My son felt nervous and confused with Irish before but now he is much more confident, he enjoys the lessons and looks forward to attending them. As he says, getting Ger to help him with Irish was one of the best decisions we ever made and the truth is that we feel really lucky we found her.

    Silvia Sheehan Ger was recommended to us by Grindesworld and it was a strike of luck finding her to teach our daugther. She is a wonderful Maths teacher. She is very experienced in LC Higher Option Maths, she is professional and organised. We sent her a list of topics and she didn't waste any time, she went straight into them in an effective way. She covers past exams papers, which was one of our requirements. Our daughter is growing in confidence after many disappointing experiences in Maths. I highly recommed Ger's lessons for anyone searching for Leaving Cert Maths lessons.

Ger is an outstanding teacher and taking grind classes with her certainly helped my son achieve the H2 grade. I can highly recommend her and especially her calming approach which definitely help him after a very gruelling paper 1.

    Ronan I cant speak highly enough of our experience working with Ger over the past three years. Our daughter started her leaving cert maths journey being very intimidated by the subject. However Gers approach ensured our daughter was sure and confident when it came to sitting the actual exam. Happy to say our daughfer is off to university to study her first choice course - this would not have happened without Gers support, which by the way goes far beyond the actual subject.

    Trish Corcoran Ger is the most fantastic tutor and has the patience of a Saint. She got me flying through the OCG after 30 years of not speaking, writing or reading Irish.     Carolanne I have been studying Irish with Ger now for nearly 2 months as I am hoping to apply for Hibernia next year. Ger is an excellent tutor. We have done so much work in the last few weeks. She is so patient and understanding. The homework is also brilliant. She really brings her love and knowledge of the Irish language to each lesson. I am enjoying the classes so much!

    Eve McG I could not recommend Ger highly enough for anyone looking for Irish Leaving Cert grinds. She always took a personal interest in each of her students and it was clear she genuinely wanted us to do well and improve in the language. Her classes were tailored to each students’ needs and it was really helpful to be in a class with other leaving cert students from across the country as I got an idea of the different types of accents and ways Irish is spoken, helping me greatly in my listening comprehension. Ger zoomed with me on the night before my Irish oral to practice and often sent notes and extra material such as lists of helpful vocab, after our zoom calls. She’s a fantastic teacher - super patient, friendly and encouraging - and she helped me greatly in preparing for my Irish oral, giving me lovely unique phrases to use and improving my pronunciation and confidence.

    Anna Ger helped my daughter in navigating the very demanding higher level leaving cert maths curriculum.     ger o'sullivan When I approached Ger I was seriously worried about the slide in results my daughter had taken.She seemed to be completely mentally blocked from making any progress.From the moment I met Ger I knew my daughter was in good hands and within an hour Ger had identified the root cause of my daughters difficulties.She built perspective around it for me took the fear out of maths for my daughter and deals with it in very manageable chunks.I can see a complete turnaround in my daughters happiness and attitude.If you met her you will soon see she is completely tuned into the student in a very engaging way.I can strongly recommend her and I could not put a value on what she has given my daughter

    kieran smyth It is very rare to have the pleasure and experience of learning from someone who has such an advanced grasp of mathematics as Ger has. From tutoring students in maths myself I understand it is a difficult task to convey concepts of complexity in a simplistic and tailored manner such as Ger does. In fact, she makes it look easy. Most noticeably with Ger was her friendliness. It was made apparent rapidly that this was a person I could openly ask questions and speak with. Her encouragement and resourcefulness are a huge reason that I had confidence while sitting in front of my Higher-Level paper. Ger has a unique ability to identify precisely where a student is not understanding a specific item and eliminate that uncertainty which in my experience of maths teachers is nearly unheard of. Overall, throughout the grinds, it is clear that Ger is an excellent teacher and an approachable person. I could not recommend anyone better. Thank you Ger for going above and beyond for me to ensure I did well.
