Dia dhaoibh! Is mise Sky. My approach to tutoring is friendly, practical, and tailored to each student's individual needs. As a native Irish speaker from the Connemara Gaeltacht, I believe that confidence is the key to language learning, so I focus on creating a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable using Irish without fear of making mistakes.

I adapt every lesson to the student's goals, whether that's preparing for the Junior or Leaving Certificate, improving conversational Irish, strengthening grammar and writing skills, or building confidence for everyday use. I place a strong emphasis on speaking and listening skills, using real-life conversations and interactive exercises to help students develop fluency naturally while also ensuring they have a solid understanding of grammar and vocabulary.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student's needs.

I have experience tutoring students preparing for exams, helping learners improve their conversational Irish, and supporting adults returning to the language. My lessons are suitable for secondary school students, university students, adult learners, and anyone looking to improve their Irish, from complete beginners to more advanced speakers.
