GrindsWorld Tutor: Nika Melnyk

With a BSc in Medicinal Chemistry and a PhD in Chemistry, I have developed a strong foundation in the subject alongside a genuine passion for teaching. Over the past five years, I have gained extensive teaching and tutoring experience, working with students across a range of academic levels, from Leaving Certificate Higher Level Chemistry to undergraduate chemistry courses.

Having completed the Irish State Examinations myself, I understand both the academic demands and exam techniques required to achieve strong results. My tutoring approach is highly personalised to the student’s needs and combines a clear understanding of core chemical concepts with extensive practice using past examination papers. I place particular emphasis on helping students develop effective exam strategies, improve their problem-solving skills, and learn how to structure their answers to maximise marks.

My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence and develop a deeper understanding of chemistry, enabling them to reach their full potential.
