Hello, I'm Harry.

I have a great passion for education and a perseverance for assisting my students with their individual learning experience. I regularly create analogies for complex problems to "real life" situations to help students understand why they're learning a particular topic and how this would assist them in an everyday situation.

My main approach to grinds with students is to identify and target specific gaps in their knowledge, removing confusion around a subject, whilst steadily building confidence by solving more steadily complex problems. This approach quickly evolves into studying and answering past exam paper questions, with students eventually being confident enough to tackle these questions individually.

As for my experience, I have over six years tutoring experience for a range of Leaving cert, A-Level and university level courses for chemistry and biology and have a further four years teaching experience for chemistry at the university level. Additionally, I have attained a PhD in Chemistry, from UCC and a MChem (4 year undergraduate masters) in Chemistry from the University of Bath, UK.
