GrindsWorld Tutor: Dermot Nolan

Hello! My name is Dermot and I'm a fourth year student studying mathematics in Trinity. I've been giving maths grinds to students of all levels for the last three years. During that time I've helped students earn higher grades in Junior and Leaving Cert maths, both higher and ordinary level, as well as in Leaving Cert Applied Maths.

A high grade in mathematics is not something that can be achieved through memorisation alone. In my lessons, I put more of an emphasis on forming an intuitive understanding of the material, as well as developing a structured method for tackling the exam on the day - something often overlooked by teachers. This takes the sting out of the inevitable weird/surprise questions, and helps eliminate the stupid mistakes that cost so many students the grade they wanted.

I also offer college level classes in linear algebra, abstract algebra, and single and multivariable calculus.

My rate is €35/hour
First lesson is half price

I can offer in-person classes in the South Dublin area, but the price may vary slightly depending on your location.
