I graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2005 with a 2:1 honours degree in Natural Sciences, specialising in Biology.
I worked in postgraduate research and teaching for many years before going into second level teaching.
I returned to college in 2011 to undertake my Professional Diploma in Education from which I graduated with honours in 2012.
I am a fully qualified and experienced Biology, Science and Maths teacher.
I have taught Biology, Science and Maths to both Junior and Leaving Cert foundation, ordinary and higher level for many years.
I have taught Maths to Leaving Cert Applied students and have worked with students with learning difficulties as well.
I have taught in many schools around the country including Dublin, Louth, Waterford and Meath. I am now a permanent teacher in Co. Kildare.
In my experience I have found that all a student who is having difficulty with a particular topic or subject needs is to hear it explained in a slightly different way.
I like to keep things very simple and work to a student's strengths. I use my own condensed notes to focus on what is asked in the exam and teach how to answer the questions properly, in order to build up a student's confidence and exam techniques.
The last thing any student needs is stress!
