My name is Ciara Murphy
I have acquired my TEFL, and I am now studying a Train the Trainer Level 7 course and then I do my teaching masters in September 2024.
I have a Honors Bachelor Degree in Business and in college I studied Spanish for two years and 5 years in Secondary school.
I have received a Distinction in Level 5 Payroll and Level 5 Bookkeeping and I also received a Merit in Level 4 Leadership & Management.
I have worked in Retail Management for a decade and a lot of that involved training, leading and mentoring so I know I can incorporate those skills into day to day teaching.
I am very passionate about delivering a high level of education. Through my own experience in school I realised at a young age every student learns differently and sometimes I felt I didn't grasp things as quickly as other students did. That being said, that's what gave me the motivation to want to teach.
I want students to leave a classroom feeling motivated, confident and that they actually understood the lesson. I knew myself when I felt this way, it also helped my mentality with studying, exam preparation and in doing exams.
I think using my own past experience in school and using my work experience from teaching and mentoring I can combine these to deliver a high quality and a high level of teaching.
