GrindsWorld Tutor: Sarah L.

I have been teaching grinds in various subjects (English, German, Biology, Chemistry) for almost 13 years now. As a medical student, I have insight into the most efficient study techniques and organisation methods to increase learning success.

With my background in Biology (I have a bachelor's degree in Molecular Neuroscience) and Chemistry, I love to help students discover how interesting these subjects can be while guiding them through their exams. I have completed the IB with a score of 44 and a 7 in HL Biology, and have helped many students achieve similar results by focusing on how information is best digested, while revising on specific areas of difficulty - with the right approach, even biochemistry can be easy!

I am also a native German speaker I have extensive experience teaching at both the IB and A-level/GCSE level for both native and second language learners. Studying German can be a daunting endeavour for many English speakers! Therefore, my main goal is to create a supportive and fun environment that connects the difficult parts of the language (grammar, sentence structure, vocab) with the beautiful parts to increase your fluency.

I put a big emphasis on the immersive approach to learning languages; this means that my lessons are conducted (mostly) in German at almost all levels. I also encourage the use of music, books and movies to supplement language exposure, especially for younger students.
