My name is Katie and I am a passionate final-year BA World Languages student in UCC, specialising in French and Spanish.
I have a strong academic background in foreign languages, having achieved top grades in both my JC and LC exams, as well as in university language exams and I would love to have the opportunity to help you do the same.
I have lived in France and Spain for extended periods of time, giving me a deep understanding of both the languages and cultures. I also grew up speaking French as I have half French nationality. Furthermore, I have experience providing both online and face-to-face grinds to students of various levels.
As part of my degree, I have completed modules in teaching Spanish and French as a Foreign Language. This, coupled with my personal success in all types of language exams and my experience in helping other students, has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to help you improve your language skills and the confidence to provide an excellent tutoring service.
My tutoring sessions are designed to help you develop essential language skills such as speaking, reading, writing, and listening, as well as grammar and vocabulary. However, I customise my teaching style to suit each student's unique goals, levels and needs. All lesson materials are provided to ensure that you have everything you need to progress effectively.

- Sep 2023 Lesley Katie is a brilliant French tutor. I noticed a big improvement in my son’s understanding after a few lessons. She is very friendly, patient and organised. - Aug 2023 Carla Katie is very kind and patient with students who may not be as confident in their French as others. She also sends you notes on which you didn’t know in the lesson back to you to revise after the lesson which I personally think is very helpful.

From the get go she was quick to identify the areas that Mark needed help with. Katie gives clear and constructive feedback, giving specific things to revise and work on for the next session. Her communication is excellent. My son progressed and became much more confident, particularly in his writing skills (which is what he had been struggling with the most). Wish we had found Katie sooner.
