GrindsWorld Tutor: Conor Finlay

Hi! I’m a 3rd Year Engineering student in Trinity College Dublin giving both Leaving and Junior Cert grinds in Mathematics.

I achieved 613 points in the Leaving Certificate, including a H1 in both Maths and Physics.

I currently tutor upwards of 8 students and have over a year of formal teaching experience. Prior to starting as a grind tutor, I tutored younger students in my later years in school as well as volunteering in the Rialto youth homework club.

It is my number one priority to provide an encouraging learning environment for students, as sitting down one-on-one with a tutor can be a daunting task. One-on-one teaching, however, has been shown to be the best intervention possible to improve learning outcomes. With me, students will see real improvements in both their confidence and results.

In-person grinds are available at a rate of €45. I am willing to travel to my grinds, primarily within the South Dublin area as I am based in Monkstown.
