Hallo! :)
My name is Britta and I am a native German speaker who's lived in Ireland for 7 years. I am offering grinds for Leaving Cert or third-level students of German, either via Zoom or in person in Dublin city centre. When not teaching grinds, I'm studying for a doctorate in Counselling Psychology at Trinity College.
I can offer practice and prep for the German Leaving Cert (oral and written). I tailor my lessons to my student's needs and preferences and have a wealth of resources to support further practice outside grinds. As a native speaker, I am especially suited to help with expanding vocabulary, teaching accurate grammar and pronunciation, and getting more fluid while speaking German. It's important to me to make lessons personalised, accessible, and interactive to make learning German enjoyable as well as effective.
I also offer support for third-level students studying German around grammar, pronunciation, writing, etc. – again, personalised to the student's needs.
Aside from my experience giving German grinds, I have years of experience in youth work and volunteering with college students and have recently been Garda vetted.

- Aug 2022 Christina Definitely recommend Britta for german grinds! I started at the beginning of 6th year and it really helped improve my german grade, especially spoken german which is so important for the orals! She was super organised with each lesson plan, we discussed a rough plan at the start of everything we wanted to cover and what would be most helpful to me, and she catering each lesson to my needs. Britta was also really flexible and adaptable with anything I wanted to spend more time on last minute. She always went the extra mile and would edit word docs of any new words or phrases that came up and would organise them into each topic which I found really helpful as I had a bank of phrases on each topic for the orals. Really enjoyed doing grinds with Britta this year and can't recommend her enough!
